Fergusson College, Pune – An Academic Legacy Since 1885

Founded in 1885 by the Deccan Education Society, Fergusson College stands as one of the most historic and respected institutions in India. Named after Sir James Fergusson, the then Governor of Bombay, the college was set up to promote nationalist education and has since nurtured generations of thinkers, reformers, scientists, artists, and leaders.

The campus is located in the lush green heart of Pune, Maharashtra, and features beautiful British-colonial architecture, spacious academic buildings, a vibrant library, and active student spaces.
